I just wanted to comment on Kate Chopin’s The Story of an Hour. I felt there was an element of humor/comedy to the story. It can almost be read as a black comedy, something you would find in an episode of Fargo. In fact, I can almost picture a laugh track playing after the last line “of the joy that kills.”
